Sort of agree. I don't think he's terrible but I don't think he's partciularly good either. He can't get the Democrats to stay strong nor can he find an alternative to the problem that doesn't involve massive spending. I actually prefer this version with pedal steel, over the one with strings. It's one of the most expressive instruments out there, and it's perfect here partly because LaMontagne describes a melancholic rural environment.
